We seek to achieve this by offering boutique accommodation for couples, families and sporting groups interested in sight-seeing, fishing, golf, cycling and tramping or walking.

having contactable and friendly House Managers. The House Managers live near to the house in Lumsden and are available to answer any questions about house facilities or about travelling in Southland
providing helpful, written information on local amenities, tourism and trout fishing. The houses offer House Manuals, Local Amenities and Services Manuals and Local Fishing Guides and Maps
taking extra care with cleaning and linen
establishing a private and extensive gardens to give a pleasurable and relaxing environment
maintaining high standards with modern house fittings while keeping the character and charm of the original houses

The owners have had 25 years experience with owning and managing property on the shores of Lake Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains region of Australia. They now bring their love of fly fishing, gardening and alpine habitat to Rod and Wheel House.

The House Managers have lived in the Lumsden area all their lives and are enthusiastic and keen to promote its many tourist opportunities and activities. They can assist with helpful information about the accommodation as well as about travelling in New Zealand.
